Join Ben Hunt, Matt Zeigler and Jack Forehand as we break open the news to reveal the Nudging language behind the headlines. Media bias is real, but not in the way you think.

In this episode of Breaking News, we examine the recent situation with NPR and how it relates to the concept of Fiat News. We also delve into the current state of tensions between Iran and Israel and why we may see a ‘phony war” in the coming months. Additionally, we examine the underwhelming sales of Tesla’s Cybertruck and the broader decline of the EV Narrative. We also have a dumb question about expansion of NATO and a Cultish Corner on Conan O’Brien’s masterful appearance on the show “Hot Ones”.

Excellent episode! I especially appreciated the discussion of the Conan O’Brien “Hot Ones” episode.

What a brilliant performance. In addition to what you said (which I agree with!), I feel that Conan was also calling out the show for being a ridiculous show. He went to level 1000 to say, why are people taking this stupid show so seriously?

Granted, Sean does get good interviews, but I do wonder why some celebrities go on the show and then are deer in the headlights (maybe they need to fire their publicists for not warning them!).

I’m not saying the show is not also brilliant, but there’s this weird performative aspect of it that Conan amplified and completely blew up.

  2. yes to all this @Tanya. Especially Sean being great with an absurd/ridiculous format that it’s amazing some people don’t “get” before they come on at this point. Who are some of these people hiring as publicists? I have wondered this way too many times.

I think the real key to Conan’s appearance is in the exchange about bad guests on shows. Conan did the late night thing for years and lived the guest saying “well this isn’t going well, is it” expression too many times. If he’s going to be a guest, he’s there to make show business, which he states plainly. Remarkable. And I really do have a way too long/detailed post about this almost finished… stay tuned!
